On the heels of our inaugural show a year ago, we bring you in proud succession, the second edition of Bowl’d Over.  Spreading our wings across the land, we bring to the lakeshores of Bangalore; handpicked gems in a brilliant display of artistic skill, as never seen before.

Bowl’d Over 2019, is an elite gathering of contemporary talent, collectively showcasing a repertoire of studio ceramics that are at once spell binding as it is exemplary in form and technique, even as the artists explore the inherent warmth and intimacy that the tactile medium of clay offers them. They thrive in the romance of its serendipity, pushing its boundaries, and flirting with the challenges of its unpredictability.  

In their exploration of the myriad techniques and processes of experimental ceramic making; they expand their creative universe into a fascinating continuum of modernistic fine art dictated not only by form but also by design, concept and delivery.  Each body of work is a testimony to the brave new world that contemporary, ceramic artists have ventured into, seeming to leave behind, yet inspired by the traditions of an age-old craft form; where bowls and vessels are just the beginning, not the end.

And now, it’s that time of the year to be Bowl’d over.
