Anita Pathania brings you CRACK Excessive Minimalism In Colour. This Fabric Art Installation evolved from her uber creative, restless and insatiable mind as a self confessed denim addict after years with Levi Strauss. Her visually delightful expression of colours gives her brand of Fashion and Lifestyle an edge. Ready for Dyeing (Brand) is a double-entendre term and reflects this designer’s extreme love for fashion and over-dyeing. Technically the term is used for any base fabrics and trims that go into the process of “garment over-dyeing”. With ever changing Hues and Tones the Mother of Inspiration for this installation has been COLOUR. Faded, Bleached, Bold, Graphic, Dripped, Blotched, or Sprayed, it’s a tantalising play of colours.

Always enjoying the manual processes of her craft, she uses traditional hand treatments combined with the latest in Jeans Wear Technology. Her unique creativity nurtured by a thorough knowledge of denim processing contributes to create a casual couture label. Her Fashion inspires her Art and in this, her first ever Fabric Art Project she uses the most basic form of clothing- The Tee Shirt, over-dyeing it to create a Fashion Installation. EXCESSIVE MINIMALISM is how she sees this work in progress and continues to evolve with OVER-DYE.

After graduating from NIFT, New Delhi, she landed her first job with Leather Brand Hidesign. Since then she has been living in and out of Pondicherry, which she calls home. The hip Bohemian culture of this Quaint Town, with its cross cultural influences inspires her design. Currently she heads the design team for HRX at Myntra fashion and at the same time developing her brand with her magical experimentation on fabric in the form of fashion and lifestyle products.
